White Hat Ball 2020 Statement
The White Hat Ball has been running for 15 years, supporting the NSPCC and Childline with over £2m raised for the charity so far. Alongside our close friend Jane Frankland, we are proud to support the White Hat Ball and the organisers’ incredible work raising money for an important charity.
Around midnight at the White Hat Ball 2020 Jane, who was a guest on our table, was accosted by someone who has been accused of harassment and abuse in the past. The confrontation was thankfully broken up by Tony Richards, and the attacker (whose name was unknown to us until the following day) was ejected from the event. Soon after this, Jess and FC were informed and, along with Tony, took Jane to safety. We were devastated to hear that Jane had this experience, which she has written about here.
We have spoken with the organisers who have taken the incident very seriously and are investigating. As both a company and as individuals, we fully support Jane and her #NotOnMyWatch initiative in its efforts to make this industry more inclusive and safe for all.
